Hi, I’m PABlo (Paul Alan Bley).
I was born with the exact same name as the famous jazz pianist Paul Bley (Canadian jazz pianist)

This has caused confusion my entire life. People have shown up to see me perform on piano expecting him—and told me “you’re not him.” Online, millions of search results point to him, not me.

So instead of fighting it, I redesigned my identity.

PABlo = PAB (Paul Alan Bley) + “lo” A way to keep my real name, while creating something uniquely mine.

You’ll also see me as “PABlo aka Phoenixbird”—
my creative identity across music, art, and digital platforms.
